After analyzing status of the maintenance, virtual reality technology was introduced to the product maintenance design, analysis and verification work, construction of virtual maintenance environment, technology of maintenance task modeling and virtual simulation modeling was deeply and systematic researched. Through ergonomic analysis, opinion of design revision was proposed, realized the parallel of product design.The main contents are as following:1. The architecture of Virtual Maintenance System was analyzed. Virtual Maintenance Task Simulation Model was studied and established. Base on Color Petri Net, maintenance support resources and process relationship was described. A double-level approach named Petri-PERT method was researched; the characteristics behavior of digital prototype and exercise simulation of the human body was researched. Through an instance the effectiveness of the method was demonstrated.2. The method of ergonomic analysis was studied. A synthetic method of MODAPTS and DELMIA simulation was presented to estimulate the operating time, base on method of motion analysis, the workload was calculated by metabolic prediction model(Grag et al.). Through visual simulation process, the qualitative analysis of ergonomic was done, which using postural score, RULA analysis and reach envelope, etc.3. A computer-aid tool of Ergonomic Analysis System(EAS) was developed, which contained: human posture library, quantitative analysis of maintenance time and workload.
