With the development of information technology in enterprise, MES progresses quickly in the manufacture information field and became an important bridge to connect the enterprise management system and bottom control system. The low-level information interaction technology in MES system is the key technology in the implementation of workshop equipment level information system. The information interaction terminal (IIT) in MES system is presented in the paper. The information interaction terminal has mostly done production monitor and control, operation guide, Processing teaching, Alarming and so on. Information interaction and sharing could be much more efficient while cost is reduced and enhance the manufacturing capability by the use of the terminal. The terminal is a highly complex embedded device in which hardware and software are integrated together and the Windows CE is used as the Embedded 0peratin System (EOS). Based on the research of the project, the porting of the embedded Windows CE and function realization of hardware interface information interaction terminal in MES system is mainly studied in this paper.Firstly, an operation mode of MES faced on device layer was presented; the effect of supporting platform IIT playing role in functional-layer implementation in MES was analyzed; then, hardware structure of IIT in MES was described. RMI AU1100 processor performance and interface design of hardware platform was emphatically introduced, through the analysis of the typical EOS and the implementation of type selection of EOS of IIT in MES, system scheme of IIT in MES based on Windows CE was confirmed.Secondly, based on the research of the Device driver models and the interrupt structure of Windows CE, according to the hardware interface circuit of the communication interface and the human-machine interface of IIT in MES, driver software of every interface was designed and implemented. The communication interface is composed of Ethernet, USB, etc. The human-machine interface is composed of LCD graphics display, touch-screen input, audio I/O, etc.Thirdly, system structure (the system model and the kernel OS service) of Windows CE was introduced, the porting step for Windows CE and the development steps for Boot Loader of the hardware platform of IIT in MES was described in detail, then, the debugging method and process of the porting step for Windows CE was presented.At last, through the eMES designed by some studying team loaded onto the IIT platform in MES based on Windows CE, then the MES was applies to the manufacturing shop of the South Air International Co. Ltd.(SAI), production efficiency was significantly increased and market competition advantage was enforced, and the feasibility and the practicality of the IIT in MES based on Windows CE was proved.
