High power laser driver technology has an important scientific significance and application value in developing the new energy resource in the 21 century, and visual simulation of laser propagation is very helpful to the research of High power laser driver technology. In this thesis a three-dimensional visual simulation scene is developed based on visual simulation technology and computer interactive technology.Based on the analysis of physical characteristics in laser transmission and characters of both laser and its spatial propagation identity, it uses a self-defining particle class to build the laser beam visual model, referencing entities flow simulation technology and particle system technique. Combined with database of simulation scene the laser transmission path layout is built to not only arrange the way for distribution of optical components according to the design requirements, but also to adjust beam path to visually display the transmission direction.Based on response-driving and database-driving methods, it makes use of the simulation clock to simulate the laser beam transmission, deflection, color changing and other visual responses. The scene graph is organized according to the object-oriented way, and also interactive functions of the system are implemented.The thesis brings forward a framework of the overall simulation system, and develops a laser transmission visual simulation prototype based on design objectives and functional requirements analysis. It meanwhile presents the functions of the platform and its prospect of application in future. The construction of this simulation system will provide a simulation platform for the research of laser propagation, and it can be used as a tool to verify, simulate and display laser propagation.
