Research And Design Of Embedded Bluetooth Gateway

With the rapid development of network technology, there are more and more intelligence equipments. Traditional arrangement of electric cable linking not only affluences good appearance, but also increases cost and difficulty of assembling and maintaining. In order to make the connections of intelligent devices and external network connections more convenient, a design of embedded Bluetooth gateway is proposed in the paper. This design can be widely used in offices and families to facilitate people's lives, so it has broad application prospects.First of all, this thesis analyzes current development status, characteristics and applications of Bluetooth technology, and makes comparison of Bluetooth technique and other wireless techniques. At the same time, it does research on the Bluetooth protocol stack, Bluetooth profiles, and the realization of Bluetooth protocol stack model. Based on the theoretical analysis, according to functional requirements of embedded Bluetooth gateway, a design scheme of embedded Bluetooth gateway software and hardware is proposed. And then, the buildup of embedded Bluetooth gateway hardware and software developing platform is expatiated. In the aspect of hardware, ARM embedded system is selected as the developing platform,and Linux is selected as the embedded operation system. In the aspect of software, this thesis analyzes the porting of Bootloader, and the configuration and porting of kernel of Linux2.6.12, the buildup of JFFS2 file system. On the basis of the embedded system developing platform, the software design of embedded Bluetooth gateway is discussed in detail, including flow charts and APIs of logical link control and adaptation protocol(L2CAP),RFCOMM protocol, service discovery protocol(SDP), and the realization of the drive of virtual serial port and lan access profile(LAP).
