Distributed virtual environment (DVE) is a new technology, it bases on the combination of the development of network and simulation technology. In DVE, various nodes exchange their interactive information through network in order to ensure that the data is synchronization. So the design of network communications system is an important subject in DVE. IPv6 network environment can provide some new features, and it is the trend of development in the future .Therefore this paper bases on the network environment of IPv6 and research the network communications in DVE in order to meet the need of development in the future. Before I design and implement the run-time infrastructure (RTI), I studies lots of domestic and abroad articles about DVE systems structure. Firstly, I design and implement federation management, declaration management, object management, ownership management, time management, data distribution management and other services. Secondly, I design and implement the various parts of the functional modules, using the IPv6 UDP / IP protocols and multicast communication technologies. About the program management module, I study the existing DR algorithm and use a new equation and the methods of smoothing. It can make other simulation nodes more reality the authenticity in the DVE system. Thirdly, in order to ensure the system time and space consistency, the system uses soft time synchronization and space coordinate conversion. Finally, I test and analyze the results to verify the accuracy of the system in the LAN environment. The way of designing and implementing the system of DVE support software has a certain reference value and guiding significance. It can provide the platform to conveniently develop the DVE system.
