Policy-based Network Management Technology Research

As the development of space and communication technology, Satellite Comprehensive Information Network will be the trend which is the integration of space technology and network technology. Compared to the terrestrial networks, the Satellite Comprehensive Information Network become more extensive, more frequent changes in topology, more highly requirements in security and reliability. The problems how to execute network management efficiently which accompanied by the construction of network become the focus of Satellite network. Policy-based network management is regarded as a highly practical and effective solution, the major strengths of which include high flexibility and scalability in enhanced network management.Based on the national 863 project, the thesis need to resolve is in the traditional network management technology to design a corresponding network management system.Firstly, the thesis studies the theory basis of the policy-based network management, design the architecture based policy integrated with the features of Satellite Comprehensive Information Network, introduce the policy management function modules. In this paper, high-level policy specifications are studied intensively and based on analysis of the research, designs a more suitable policy description language. In addition, the paper designs and implements the Satellite Comprehensive Information Network policy management module and policy decision module, realization of the policy system, and the work flow of the policy engine and the establishment, deploy, and implementation of the policies are discussed, enhance the policy match speed, improve policy management function. At last, the thesis analyses the deficiency of the system and the work in the future.
