Design And Realization Of DSP System For Radar Imaging Algorithm

Many new kinds of large scale integration and very large scale integration springs up continually along with the development of the integrated circuit technology. The combination of integrated circuit technology and computer technology made the function of the digital signal processing system more and more powerful. Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology is an important technology which developed based on technology of VLSI and technology of computer.Because of the awfully high operation speed of the DSP chip,it can be used in field which need exigent real-time character.For example,the digital processing part of the radar imaging.As the DSP chip is the core of this system,this article gives an detailed specification on the chosen of the chip and its hardware construction. Make the basis for the design of the minimum system of DSP.Because one separate DSP chip can not work,this article discussed the design and the implementation of minimum system of DSP after introduced DSP chip.We analysised every part of the DSP system and accomplished their design and implementation.After the design of the minimum system of DSP finished,this article put emphasis on memory expansion,the design of UART serial communication port and buffers related to them.Because the data of radar imaging algorithm need to be transmit from PC to DSP external memory through UART serial communication port,this part is the key of this article and the signification of the topic.The UART serial communication port in this article is achieved by TL16C550C and MAX3238.After the design of the system is accomplished this article discussed how to debug it. First,debug DSP chip then UART serial communication port.The design idea of the debug program is closely related with the style which data transmit between PC and DSP.So the program may simulate the data of radar imagining perfectly.The purpose of this article will achieved after the program is finished,realized the DSP system which can be applicable to simulation of radar imagining algorithm.
