Level measurement is one of the basic elements of automatic measurement field. Currently in petrochemical industry, power plants and other industries, enterprise production management departments made a strict monitoring to large storage tanks of fuel per day, so developing a practical, higher accuracy Float-type stage gauge system has a very important significance.At first, using the knowledge of mechanics, optics encoder to design the mechanical measurement system, and designed a new kind of floater through the deep analysis on the reason why the traditional float-type stage gauge skids and the phenomenon what would happened after that, then proved that the improved float can effectively avoid the slippery phenomenon by experiments.Second, we designed the hardware part on the basis of the knowledge of electron, electro circuit and the intelligent designing theory. Meanwhile on the aspect of software, a set of control arithmetic were developed to help the hardware part to reach the control demand. In addition, anti-jamming plan was also made to ensure the system stabilization and reliability.Finally, the experimental results confirmed the system to achieve the required technical performance indicators and to perform reliably.In all, this paper have designed a suit of feasible control scheme by making use of the integrate principle of mechanism, electronics, optics and hydrokinetics. The measurement system can reach mm level with the advantages of simple structure and easy maintenance.
