Design And Implementation Of Web-Based Teaching Management System For Professional College

Teaching management is the core component of information management systems for professional college in our country.With the deeply progressing of education reform, the model of teaching management is faced with many challenges. With the increasing of the number of students, the tasks of management become more and more heavier, manual means of management cannot meet the demands of the rapid progress of education and credit system. .How to improve management efficiency and promote level of scientfic decision in terms modern means and technology becomes an important topic faced by teaching management of professional college. With the rapidly developing of computer technology, especially Internet technology, development of teaching management systems in network environment becomes one of the important approach to promote management level of professional college.In this thesis, aimed to the features of professional college, the author does deeply study the design and development of web-based teaching management systems, especially, the author analyzed the principle of developing the teaching management systems, general scheme, design ideas and detailed implementation. Based on the above studies, the design and development of a web-based teaching management system was given, including: demand analysis, function design, details of implementation and key techniques used in the systems. The framework of the system adopt three tiers architectures, based on B/S model. The data base used in the system is Oracle data base, and somo optimization of data store,retrievals and search was also made in the system. The database connection pool technique was also applied in order to increase connection reuse,and,therefore,improve performance of system. Meanwhile, in this thesis, the system performance test, was also introduced, which is conducted by using a professional testing tool and a simple analysis about the test result also introduced. The future development and application of teaching management system for professional college was also predicted in the thesis.
