This dissertation deals with some issues in the development of a rechargeable battery sorting system using Diamond robots. The project comes from the demand of a battery industry and sponsored by the National 863 high-tech development program. The following achievements have been obtained.On the basis of a thorough investigation into the technical process of rechargeable battery production, the idea to build a battery sorting system using Diamond robots is proposed. This idea takes the full advantage of low-cost,mass-sorting,many types of sorting and other characteristics. Its unique design reduce the auxiliary sorting time,but also reduced the labor intensity. A new mothod to carry out mathematical expectation in table is proposed,which solved the problem of manipulator sorting effeciency.Based on the architectural characteristics of a novel 2-DOF translational parallel robot under consideration and according to the vector theory,analytical representations of inverse and forward kinematics are formulated in conjunction with the velocity and acceleration analysis. With the size of the operation space to design the basic structrue of Diamond. Make a solid foundation for modeling and simulation. Using SOLID WORKS software ,the solid model of the translational hybrid robot is established ,and sorting simulation in usage of MATLAB. According to the characteristics of sorting equipment, usage the theory of 3-4-5, MATLAB kinematics simulation is realised,this verified the idea of sorting is reasonable.Proposed a new mathod for calculating the efficiency of separation equepment .and calculated the sorting efficiency and tested the feasibility of the sorting,which prepare to bulid a prototype for a more adequate theory.
