Along with the rapid development of electronic technique and computer technology,automatic test technology based on bus has greatly changed.It has mainly experienced the stages of GPIB,VXI,PXI.Meanwhile,the emergence and fast development of network technique have aroused great concern in the automatic test technical field. In September,2004,Agilent and VXI tech has founded the LXI Consortium joinly,and launched a new modularized instrument bus standard-LXI(LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation).Built on the muture standards of LAN,combining the high performance of GPIB instruments,reduced size of VXI/PXI modules as well as the high throughput of LAN, LXI technique can built test system quickly, high efficiently, excellent price performance, and it will be the ideal solution of next generation of automatic test system.First of all, this dissertation has studied LXI standard with emphasis, analyzed the technical frame of LXI standard in detail,including network news triggering, hardware triggering, LXISync specification, LAN, Web, etc. and introduced IEEE 1588 specification and IVI specification, which are related to LXI standard.A test instrument can be composed of the instrument functional module and the interface module. The instrument functional part can be used to realize kinds of test function. The interface part can be used to transmit information between test instruments. Learnt about LXI standard, this dissertation gives the design proposal of LXI interface board. In hardware, AT91RM9200 is chosen to be the main control chip and EP1C6Q240C8 is used as the synchronized and triggering logical control chip. In software, the design has transplanted embedded Linux OS and Web Server into AT91RM9200, and then, developed some application procedures of the interface function to make the LXI Instrument communication with LAN through the LXI interface board. In this dissertation, It has introduced in detail the circuit design of main function modules on LXI interface board, and explained how to built embedded linux OS and Web Server. At last, a simple test has been carried on. That is, the LXI interface board can be controlled with some control webs, so that the function of LXI interface board is tested through the network.
