Research On Transaction In P2P Network

As the network develops and the scale of network becomes larger and larger, The load of network based on client/server increases and encounters the bottle-neck problem. In order to solve the problem that network faced at present, researchers explore many solutions to improve network performance, from Distributed technology to P2P(Peer-to-Peer) technology and Grid technology. Among them, P2P technology is considered as the key technology to rebuild distributed network and the foundation of next generation network.The thesis explores transaction management in P2P network. Firstly it redefines some traditional transaction concepts in order to adapt P2P environment and introduces transaction management model. This model is distributed in each node of P2P network and is used to manage the transaction that the node involved. Then this thesis introduces SMP(self-management protocol) which manages transaction commit and rollback operations. In the thesis, it provides transaction management model and SMP to schedule transactions in P2P network. In a prototype system, the thesis explains clearly the peer how to manage transaction according to the transaction management model and SMP.The thesis approves the efficiency of SMP algorithm with mathematical theory. The simulating experiment about transaction management demonstrates the result about efficiency of transaction management. In a word, this thesis studies the transaction management technology, transaction management model and SMP, which are innovation in transaction management research area.
