Network performance analysis is focused by many researchers in data communication area at present. With this method, analysis model of physical layer,link layer,protocols layer is established to simulate the transportation of network stream, analyzes the network performance under specific protocols. It will highlights the factors of the protocols which affect the network performance to mend the protocols and enhance network performance. So it can reduce the invest risks and shorten R&D periods of establishing new network, updating existing network and testing new protocols.This thesis focuses on the network performance under the three protocols ALOHA , CSMA, CSMA/CD through simulation platform- OPENET . Through comparing the channel throughput and utilization ratio of simulation results, this thesis concludes that the collision is the most important factor that determines the efficiency of random access protocols. So for eliminating or decreasing collision, it must use uncompetitive centralized control by increasing hardware process and optimizing algorithm to minimize the probability of retransmission collision. |
