This paper researched the application of double frequency method in induction heating power supply with using existing devices to actualize high frequency inverter under the condition that ensuring the safety of the switch transistors.Firstly, the paper introduced the basic principles and development trends of induction heating technology. It analyzed and compared resonance tank circuit and commonly used control techniques of the induction heating power. It selected series resonance which more suitable for high-frequency applications to achieve double frequency induction heating power.Secondly, this paper proposed a new double frequency inverter topology and gave the parameters designing method of the snubber circuit .It realized the increasing of working frequency and improved the switching condition of power devices, and reduced the losses of the power MOSFETs in the process of conversion. Through the analysis of working process of double frequency inverter circuits, it determined the signal triggering mode of the double frequency inverter circuit and solved the problem of spike voltage caused by open circuit. It designed and implemented an experimental prototype.Finally, through the Pspice simulation and the experimental results of the experimental prototype which working frequency was 100 kHz, it verified the feasibility and correctness of the research works.
