Bluetooth technique is an open global specification of a kind of wireless data and sound speech communication. Its purpose is to realize low cost , short distance wireless connections of all kinds of electronic devices. With the rapid development and maturity of Bluetooth,it is possible to put bluetooth into the data acquisition systems.At the beginning of this thesis, the protocol stack of bluetooth technology is introduced briefly, and presents the characteristic of bluetooth technology. However, many challenging issues caused by the constraints and some characteristics of bluetooth technology itself should be addressed, including network formation. Bluetooth specification hasn't addressed this issue in detail yet, and it's an open problem. This thesis also lists a number of the most popular scatternet topology formation algorithms for Bluetooth scatternet. We give an overview of these topology formation algorithms. Then, comparison of performance is proposed according to the characteristics of them.The main purpose of this article is to apply the ad-hoc network algorithm of bluetooth to industry practice, so multianalysis has carried on to the data acquisition system based on bluetooth. The bluetooth technology was used to the data transmission in this thesis. Current researches on topology algorithm of Bluetooth Ad hoc network were briefly discussed. A wireless data acquisition system based on bluetooth Ad Hoc networks was also proposed. The designing thought of the software and hardware and specific implementation of the system were presented. It has many advantages, such as decreasing the interferences in the system and simplifying the design of the system. The reliability of the system is developed too.
