With the development of industry, it is demanded that the hydraulic transmission and control systems should have higher performance and control precision. Using computer simulation technology, the performance of systems can be forecasted, the design cycle can be shorten, and the whole system can be analyzed and evaluated. So the purposes of optimizing system, shorting design cycle and improving the stability of system can be achieved.The paper firstly researched the working principle of Shear-Flash Butt Welder machine. The principle, characteristic and model of main hydraulic components were analyzed in this portion. Secondly, the design method of quadratic optimal controller of Shear-Flash Butt Welder machine was introduced. Furthermore, mechanic-electronic-hydraulic integration model of Shear-Flash Butt Welder machine was established. Lastly, we researched the parameters simulation of the quadratic optimal controller in AMESim software. A computer control cabinet based on Contec industrial computer was build and a control programe was tested.Research indicates: the method of numerical simulation is an effective approach to analysis and design the dynamic characteristic of hydraulic system. The obtained controller parameters in using this method have good dynamic quality; The designed computer control system is reliable and flexible operation, and the test result indicates the anticipated design goal is reached.
