An In-Depth Research On "Self-Plagiarism": International Perspective

This paper attempts to have an in-depth research on the phenomenon of "self-plagiarism" from the angle of international academic standard.This paper analyzes the domestic and foreign definition andclassification of "self-plagiarism" , and particularly studies the latestdevelopment in the research of it in international academic circle. Based onthe sampling statistics, this paper also discusses some cases of"self-plagiarism" involving some top international journals.Meanwhile, according to international academic standard and the process of "self-plagiarism" , this paper proposes the earlier period preventive measures, the intermediate period examination and recognition, the final period handling strategy to tackle "self-plagiarism" , presenting a new perspective which combines real diagnosis with the scientific theory.
