Cardiac disease is one of the major diseases that endanger human's health. Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a synthetic reflection of the heart electricity on human body surface, and it is very valuable to diagnose the heart disease. How to use computer to analyze ECG plays a key role in diagnose cardiac disease. In the recent years it has been a research hotspot at home and abroad.QRS complex detection is the most important issue in ECG automatic analysis. When the QRS complex has been determined and other details of ECG signal can be carried out. The difficulties in QRS detection are two factors: firstly, the physiological variability of QRS complex. Secondly, there may be various types of noise in ECG signal to interfere with ECG detection. As a new type of graphical programming tools, labVIEW has tremendous advantages in the field of signal processing particularly. The wavelet transform has the multi-scale, multi-resolution characteristics; the different frequency bands signal appeared in the different scales, then the signal feature will be processed in the appropriate scale. In this article, firstly smoothing digital filter and cycle notch filter are designed to eliminating the ECG signal noise effectively in LabVIEW. Secondly, R-wave is detected with the common QRS complex detection methods in LabVIEW. R-wave accurate detection which is based on DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) with Mallat algorithm; using quadratic spline wavelet, is proved through experiments to be good to realize the ECG signal detection and analysis. So it can be a useful tool for medical personnel who are interested in using QRS information to explore their research work.
