Image degradation problems are very common among image capture, storage and communication process. There are many factors contributing to image degradation problems such as image acquisition system, storage material and communication mechanism. If these degradation problems are not detected and restored properly, they will have a negative influence on the subsequent processing step. In this paper, after analyzing the reasons of geometric distortions degradation, color distortions degradation and shift line data lose degradation, we present the practical detection and restoration solutions for these three image degradation problems respectively.We developed a tool for the detection and restoration of common image degradation problems, based on Visual C++ and Matlab. The experiment shows that the practical method we proposed can detect and restore those image degradation problems effectively. |
