Wireless sensor network is a novel technology made by the convergence of system on chip, micro-electro-mechanism system and wireless communication technologies in recent years. It is composed of large numbers of sensor nodes which have the ability of information sensing, processing and transmitting. These sensor nodes communicating with each other in the form of Ad-hoc network, they can monitor the deploying area of wireless sensor network real time and transmit the information back to the control center. The project involved in this paper is an advanced research work based on the widest applying foreground of wireless sensor network, it aims to design a full set of wireless sensor network platform, which can demonstrate the key properties of network and verify some algorithms. The main contents of this paper include hardware designing of sensor node which uses ATmegal28L processor for its data processing, CC1000 for its data transmitting, DHT90 for its information sensing. Then, we compare three wireless MAC protocols from the aspects of power loss, delay, throughput and the rate of packages lost. At last, we analyze the implementation of B-MAC which based on CSMA/CA in TinyOS.
