In recent years, the market-expansion of the high-speed mobile communications has effectively promoted the development of mobile communications, as well as communication technology faces daunting challenges. Under the driven of the huge market potential, the key technologies and standardization work of 3G are paid more attention and have received encouraging progress. The world is developing the third generation mobile communication system to meet the growing requirements of the communications business. Its main features include broadband CDMA, a flexible beam-scanning by using antenna arrays at basestation, stronger communications capacity than using the traditional full antenna or sector-antenna, and multimedia capability gaining.Smart antenna is one of the key technologies in 3G system. Smart Antenna using space division multiple access (SDMA, Space Division Multiple Access) technology and the signal propagation direction will differentiate the signals of the same frequency and timeslot in airspace. It can be doubled to expand communications capacity, and maximize the use of limited spectrum resources by combining other muti-techriologies. In mobile communication, smart Antenna can overcome the negative impact effectively which is caused by the complex terrain, buildings and delay spread of Rayleigh fading, multipath and total channel interference.Currently, smart antenna beamforming algorithms and DOA estimation algorithm has been studied very maturely. However, actual engineering problems of smart antenna have been paid less attention. TD-SCDMA is going to be commercial using, so smart antenna arrangement has also become one step of the whole project. We should consider both smart antenna performance indicators reach the required standards, and also taking into account cost and the laying of noise, and radiation pollution, how to use the lowest possible number of antenna, how the layout of the antenna at the same time arranged for a problem.This paper on the issue to a detailed and rigorous analysis of the simulation is derived, usually analysis of the current circumstances in smart antenna performance raised a reasonable antennas arranged, and complemented by an improved beamforming algorithms simulation, simulation results proved this by the number of smart antenna and the layout is more reasonable and feasible.
