With recent rapid development of China internet, the number of China internet subscribers has been reported to have reached 123 million until the end of June of 2006, which has considerably increased 19.4% compared with that in the corresponding time of last year. As one of the important parts in internet service, e-mail service has been used widely and increasingly. At the same time, the development of wireless technology and the increasing numerous customers have promoted mobile communication, with the result that the number of mobile customers in China has achieved 440 million. The demand for mobile e-mail system is so strong that combination of E-mail service and mobile technology is believed to bring a bright future for people. However, when mobile E-mail system is put to use, there exists the bottle neck in security, certainty, convenience and even the improvement of functions.In order to meet subscribers' needs and promote the internet service and mobile value-added service, this paper puts forward " Ruyi Mobile E-mail System". Based on some related technologies and theories about e-mail security, internet security and mobile communication, this paper explain complete security mechanism in mobile e-mail system, especially focusing on the encryption algorithm and the solutions to data recovery, both of which have got invention patents. With complete guarantee of innovative security technology and convenient service of dealing e-mails in mobile phones, Ruyi system has reached the leading domestic level in the field of e-mail technology, which will actively improve the available value of charged e-mail system and the trust in security of e-mail by the public and the authorities.This paper describes following parts:1. Research and Analysis of present situation of e-mail system and related technology2. The analysis of security demand for mobile e-mail service through unified planning and the design of security.3. Based on international security mechanism and algorithm, this paper has designed and completed the unique and successful encryption algorithm, which needs only the subscribers' passwords and even the designer can not decode the subscribers' e-mails.4. The research of feasibility in automatic data copy and data recovery under the working conditions as well as the fact that the technology solution has finally been realized5. General tests and analysis of the results about Ruyi e-mail system6. The business evaluation of the e-mail system and its conception of further updatingRuyi mobile e-mail system has practically been proved to be safe, certain and convenient, which will bring about bigger market as well as considerable profits.
