Study Of Designing And Realizing Of Mobile Mail System Based On J2ME

With the development of information society, it is imperative that mobile telephones and other mobile wireless devices be linked with the Internet. But there are many disadvantages in the software of conventional mobile telephone. On the other hand, the advantage of Java technology in wireless network service is very obvious.Based on the regulation of mobile E-mail, This paper is on the center of background Web mail server, and it implements the whole system by module from setting of E-mail account, sending and receiving of E-mail, keeping of friend addresses. The software of Java mobile telephone based on J2ME—mobile mail system is introduced perfectly and clearly in this paper. It consists of its theory value and practicality value, the architecture of J2ME, JavaMail API, process of designing and implementing, the key technologies it has used.Firstly, the fundamental theory of developing mobile software is introduced in this paper, as that: the function and architecture of J2ME, KVM (Kilo-byte Virtual Machine) , CLDC (Connected, Limited Device Configuration) and MIDP (Mobile Information Devices Profile) . Secondly, due to the aim of system designing, it gives the general blue print, system flow, process of designing and implementing, the key technologies it has used. In the designing and realty of middle layer server, it uses Servlet and JavaMail technology as middle layer to solve all the problems of sending and receiving E-mail. Lastly, the MIDP client of the system is designed. MIDP client is the exclusive device for chipping in E-mail system. Its chief function involves setting the parameter of system, sending E-mail, receiving E-mail, forward sending, replying E-mail, keeping friend address and helping. It uses many technologies to realize the MIDP client, such as advanced GUI API of J2ME, persistent storage of J2ME, and network characteristic of J2ME (generic connection framework).It unites the innovative idea of the software of Java mobile telephone based on J2ME and the rising vocation in China (E-mail service vocation), and makes this technology contribute to the mail service vocation in this paper.
