Research And Implementation On SOA's Design Method For SMEs

SOA originated from the early component-based distributed computing environment. In 1996, authoritative IT professional organization Gartner put forward the concept of SOA firstly. CORBA and Microsoft's COM programming model stimulated SOA's growth. Along with the Java programming language and the EJB component pattern's issue as well as J2EE application's maturity in service market, SOA obtained further development. Now, mature Web services technology provided a new opportunity to SOA's research and evolution. It was considered as an effective way to resolve software's reuse, interoperability and improvement of developing efficiency in the distributed environment. Most of current researches on the application of SOA are concentrated in the large-scale or ultra-large groups, and have many successful cases already, in like Deutsche Post, Credit Suisse Group and so on.Based on the researches above, this paper's work is focus on how to realize the IT systems which met the business needs of SMEs(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) with the principle of SOA.Above all, with analysis and summary of related researches on SOA, the paper carried on a careful organization to the introduction of SOA's theoretical aspects: It studied SOA's definition, elements and merits on the basis of the comparative analysis of existing definitions; Then introduced from dividing the abstract ranks of SOA to describing SOA's 9-level concept; Finally, unified SOA's methodology with the traditional methodology. Guide practice with the methodological study, which enabled us to understand SOA richer and more comprehensive. Then, through introduced SOA's related technologies and specifications, such as Web services, XML, BPEL, SCA and SDO, the paper gave the technical foundation for SOA from the practical level. The last, the paper discussed how to advance from the theory level to implementation. Designed and realized the IT systems met the needs of SMEs with the principle of SOA. And this is also the key point of the paper's research: Firstly, the paper in this part analyzed the characteristics of IT system in SME. In one hand, the merits of the enterprise's small scale, few and fixed businesses, simple business processes, are all advantageous to the service's discovery, specification and realization. On the other hand, SMEs' IT foundation is weak, there are no problems about complex existing systems, different applied technologies and puzzled integration like those in larger enterprises. This is an advancement in constructing a new IT system based on the principal of SOA. Secondly, the research inherited the principal of SOMA method which divided the service-oriented analysis and design into three stages: the discovery, specification and realization of service, and proposed the SOMAL method to design SMEs' IT systems. It was simplified without considering the existing system's integration. It also divided three stages to carry on the design of the enterprise's IT system. Finally, in view of the current new consumption patterns shopping online, the paper used SOMAL method with the relevant implementation technologies to design and implement the IT system of sell-phone online.
