The construction of the web marketing system for the agricultural science and technology book is a part of the project, the digital publishing system for China Agricultural Science and Technology Press. Through the research of this paper, a good prototype system is supplied, which aimed at meeting the new requirements on the marketing of agricultural science and technology books with the development of market economy; exploring the web marketing channel for the sale of the agricultural science and technology book and solving the sales bottlenecks of the agricultural technology books in some extent. This article has some reality meaning and practical value.In this paper we used the theory related to marketing, E-Commerce and Web marketing and systems design and development to analyze the overall development status of the domestic and international online bookstores and did some cases analysis on several representative web sites, summed up some key issues needed to be pay special attention to on the design of the web marketing system for the agricultural science and technology book, such as being concise, practical and user-friendly, Illustrating the feature of communication with the users ,exploring the potential demand without the increasing of the development and maintenance costs. We did the following exploration during the system analyzing and designing:Firstly, considering the particularity of the agricultural technology book and the universal situation and development trend of Internet through the users in our country, we concluded that the construction of the web marketing system is necessary, feasible and will have good prospects. Then, we classified the user of the system and did detailed analysis on the system function demand with the consideration of the actual situation.Secondly, the web marketing system for the agricultural science and technology books used the 3-layer design mode, which is the mainstream design mode in current web site designing, to implement the separation of the data, business and display, reducing the network traffic, simplifying the process of the development, providing the system a better security, portability and scalability.Thirdly, the system consists of 2 subsystems, the ordering and sale front system and the back-office management system, whose login page are different. We used the way of system modeling to analyze the flowing, the user cases and the activities diagram of the system. Four function models are designed to the front system: user registering and landing, information displaying, book displaying and searching, online ordering book. The back-office mainly implements the function of the management of the books, the orders, various users and the information of the articles and the news. The sequence diagram was used to analyze the core module, online shopping and orders management.Finally, we designed the database and the interface for the system considering the actual needs. which can achieve not only various user-friendly operations, but also the timely and effective access of the data which is needed or produced by the system.On the basis of the analysis in this paper, the system was implemented with the cooperation of China Agricultural Science and Technology Press. .Net Framework 3.5 environment and the MS SQL Server 2005 database management system were used to construct the platform for the server. Microsoft Visual Studio2005 was used to finish the development. At the end of the paper, we demonstrated the implementation of the function of online ordering book, orders management and so on., taken the Agricultural Science and Technology Press as concrete application object.
