The trend in development of NC system puts forward higer and higher request to the open controller HMI. The tool-path display system of the NC machining process has become an important part in the NC HMI system. Under this background,this paper researches and develops the prototype system of dynamic Tool-Path based on Three-Dimension in the machining process of Numerical control Mills .This paper researches the correlative technology of the display process in NC machining, it's the concrete content involves the following several respects:(1)This paper uses the extended-octree modeling to model the roughcast, carrys out the algorithm converting the B-rep model to extended-octree model, and draws the roughcast by dispersing the each surface of the octree node;then make Brep model of the sweep of the cutter according the tool-path.(2)Rending the graphics with OpenGL according the data after each cutting, consequently,implementing the real-time dynamic displaying of the course of NC machining. The data of each octree node is often very big,this paper carrying out the algorithm of refreshing partly to revise part octree nodes so as to raise the efficiency combining the technology of Double Buffering and Display list in OpenGL,ensuring continuity and integrality of each frame.(3) Implementing the communications between the PC and NC equipment and developing the prototype system of NC tool-path based on three-dimension according the theory above.
