As computer technology, communication technology and network technology is developing with high speed, NC system has been evolving into an open, networked and intelligent system. And the booming of embeded field, especially in embeded linux world, provides more choice while choosing system software for open controller. The works goes along under the above background.Firstly, the basic knowledge of embeded linux system is introduced, followed by the description of how to build embed linux system. Secondly, excellent embeded graphics system is the precondition of developing excellent HMI system. Intruduced Xwindow, Tiny-X, how to build Tiny-X system and graphics system based on Tiny-X. Thirdly, human interface system (HMI) is an important component of open controller. Friendly HMI can make the operation convenient and acquire good effect. Introduced the design and implementation of HMI on LT-system. Fourthly, tool path displaying system is an important part of the HMI. Introduced the works on research and implementation on 3D tool path displaying system. Put forward a new solid representation scheme—three dimensions grid representation, aimed at the application of cutting-displaying system. Author builded a prototype system named by 3DTPP based on this representation. Introduced the internal of 3DTPP detailedly.
