On one hand, more and more training institutions release the enrollment information on the net because of the rapid and convenient characteristics of propagation of on-line enrollment. On the other hand, with the coming of a learning society, more and more people gain information for self-study through the internet. Studying information publishing system should also advance with the times, embody much more thought of humanization, apply more essence of new technologies, syncretize more ideas of new education, thereby serve better for learners. In the environment of distance learning, the learners' autonomy appears to be particularly important for it will directly affect the learners on their own learning activities, such as the arrangement of learning scheme, the plan of learning schedule, and so on. Therefore, distance learners should have the consciousness of clearly understanding the task and mastering the characteristics of learning materials to be able to choose learning resources and rationally assign time and attention according to different tasks. In this sense, it can better reflect the "people-oriented" concept to use the metacognitive learning strategy to direct and construct the studying information publishing system. With the metacognitive learning strategy as a guiding ideology in the article, data of studying information publishing system have been collected and analyzed, and the system which is able to recommend related courses according to the learners' learning type has been developed combining with ASP database access technology and B/S technology structure. The main tasks are:1. To collect users' information by analyzing users' needs and characteristics and constructing two kinds of users' models.2. To achieve the adding, deleting, modifying, counting and searching users' information, the results transferring to information return module, and the refreshing data in the users' database at the same time.3. To achieve the dynamic management of information on the system pages, and the operation to add, delete and modify the contents of various sections.4. To pertinently recommend related courses to the users according as a certain matching principle.Since being put forward in the academia, metacognitive learning strategies have been widely applied in the various fields of education, but not widely in the studying information publish. In the article, the application of metacognition in the studying information publishing system has been researched, and new ideas and valuable application examples have been supplied for the studying information publishing system.
