With the advent of the Internet age, network technology has stretched into every aspect of our lives. In automotive applications vehicle electronics development has become an important trend and direction. Car network's main standards CAN network technology has more and more applications in the vehicle electronics, which has resolved the problem of communication between vehicle's control device and solve the problem of the increasing wiring length of the body, decreasing operation's reliable, much more difficulty in failure repair after car's body control device adding. In recent years, domestic research and applications of automotive CAN network has been strengthened.After resolving the problem within the data communications in the vehicle body, the problem which should be solved is how to send vehicle CAN information to a remote data service centre, in order to help data centre services monitoring and recording status of vehicles. Because location of the vehicle is uncertain, it is not possible connecting to the Internet through cable. But GPRS, as a more mature wireless data transmission technology, can make up those shortcomings above. Through setting the module of GPRS, China Mobile's wireless network can connect with wireless Internet. Because the GPRS network is always-on, as well as charges by the flow, vehicle long-wireless communication can be achieved at a relatively low cost so as to provide an accurate, real-time, forever Online information channel to the car's body CAN network's data transmission.This paper makes a system of data acquisition and transmission come true, which transmits vehicle's information through a GPRS wireless network. First, from the current automotive control network's research background, development and the applications and the characteristics of GPRS wireless network, as well as according the vehicle network and GPRS network its own characteristics, I put forward a system project: from the vehicle's body CAN node data collection - CAN Network Transmission - Data Acquisition Center - GPRSDTU sending - data service centres receiving system solutions, and in accordance with the function of each module, as well as acrodding the device costs to select device then complete the whole specific programme design.Then it introduces in detail in the order of CAN data flow from CAN nodes, data collection centres, GPRSDTU hardware and software design, completed a concrete realization of the entire programme, the realization of the CAN data from the body sent to the acquisition process.Finally, remote PC data services network reception procedures prepared by the Centre through successful GPRS network transmission body CAN data, and gives the results of the receiving conclusions.
