With the swift development of computer technology and networkings, the design anddevelopment of network learning system has become a hot spot of the current educationresearch domains. However, the traditional web-based instruction system, without the fullconsideration of user's requirements and individualities, mostly takes the teacher (system) asthe center,and learners have to adapt to the system instead of adapted by the system. Thiskind of system doesn't carry out instructions according to people's learning rule, resulting inthe poor interaction and bad learning effects.In order to realize the Modern DistanceEducation of real individualization and guarantee the teaching quality, a kind of auto-adaptedlearning system taking"the student"as the central has been researched.This adaptive current system are web-based, in the form of HTML text on the Internet,therefore it would be limited by HTML poor scalability of the interactive, none semanticmarkup and the lack of double-byte text support of the country or limitations sexual. TheseLearning System user models are also based on the existing www network, lack of semanticsin user charactics specification,without any possibility to share with other applications.However semantic web could offer unprecedented support to the network of teaching in thesemantic query, meaning construction, knowledge acquisition and sharing and collaborativelearning. So we need to construct the the user model of the adaptive learning system based onsemantic web. Based on cognitive psychology and constructivism learning theory and so on,using ASP.NET,SQL Server database and semantic web mining, taking C languageprogramming as an example, a user model of Adaptive Learning System based on thesemantic web is constructed.Firstly we analyse and summarize the development and the present situation of domesticand foreign auto-adapted learning systems. Then we compare the present domestic andforeign auto-adapted learning system's user model, and summarize its existence question.Secondly, the thesis elaborates the rationale and technical support as well as the grossstructure of this system. Thirdly, we design the user model including user cognitive model andinteresting model.In the fourth part, we take the C language programming curriculum as anexample to elaborate the user model's foundation practice.The last chapter of this thesis looksforward to the prospective research direction of semantic web-based personalized learningsystem, and proposes some further improvement ideas about the development of the system....
