| With the rapid development of network technology, the network education has become more and more perfect. But the network learning system can not dynamic present teaching content based on the personality of students and the learning process. So the effect of which network teaching is not ideal. But adaptive learning system can be good to meet the needs of learners. Thus it has attracted people's attention.To realize the adaptive learning, the Semantic Web is the best platform for Semantic Web overcome the shortcomings which the traditional network can not understand the logic significance of the language. The adaptive learning system based on the Semantic Web provides a very effective support for the people's study. However, only created the domain ontology of relevant subject, the Semantic Web can play a role and the system can dynamic present knowledge by tested the learners cognitive style or knowledge background. Thus, the creation of domain ontology is the important issues to achieve adaptive learning System.This thesis introduces the adaptive learning system and the Semantic Web as well as some knowledge of relevant Ontology and domain ontology. Also summarizes the research status of domain ontology and the relation between Ontology and Semantic Web. Based on this it has showed the function of domain ontology in the field of adaptive learning system. This thesis analysed the description language and the. construction method of domain ontology. And it expounded the construction approach of domain ontology based on Semantic Web in adaptive learning system. We have created the domain ontology of a curricula and explored combination of domain ontology with user model. It laid foundation for the achievement of Adaptive Learning.The last chapter of this thesis looks forward to the prospective research direction of adaptive learning system based Semantic Web. At the same time this thesis proposes some further improvement direction of theoretical study and practical development. |
