Automatic Test software is an important part of ATS (Automatic Test System). In order to improve efficiency of Automatic Test software development, this thesis introduces a Graphical Test Procedure Integrate Development Environment (GTP IDE), which breaks away the Automatic Test software developer from boring programming, and makes users pay more attention to disposing test procedure and describing test requirement. Icons and lines are used in GTP IDE to describe test procedures; which makes it similar to drawing flow charts in the software design. After dragging and drawing, users set the properties of icons to define test requirements. At last, the test flow chart will be transformed to a test procedure description file in XML (eXtensible Markup Language). With GTP IDE, users can develop Automatic Test software efficiently in a short period, which shows the value of this thesis.After study on domestic and foreign Automatic Test software, first, this thesis discusses work principle of the GTP IDE, and adopts the components based concept in .NET. This concept improves expansibility and reconfigurability of GTP IDE greatly. Second, this thesis dissertates the interface module, the graphic editor module and the code transform module, and realizes some pivotal techniques, such as dynamically initialization, graphic edit function, and XML serialization, etc. Third, this thesis confirms the design principle and the function of GTP IDE in a procedure developing experiment on digtal multimeter. Finally, GTP IDE is tested in 3 methods: function test, interface test and capability test, and presented test result.The test results indicates that all modules of GTP IDE works steadily and reliably, and the function is natural, and it achieves design expection.
