After the twentieth century the information technology has been rapid development, so wireless communication technology was more important whether in civilian or military applications in modern information exchange infrastructure. As wireless communication technology's development, the current types of wireless communication devices also became more complex, in which radio stations through the various stages of development now has begun to widely used not only in military and scientific research, but also in the production of economic and social life fields. It was very necessary to develope a open-automatic test system ATS with high mobility.This dissertation designs a complete open radio station automatic test system according to research requirements of the automatic test system's development. It demands for software and hardware platform constructed according to the system architecture, and focused on the software implementation process and the key software technologies.The system used common equipments to divide the whole software testing system into four modules, control module, test module, instrument drive module, switch matrix module four parts, from open-automatic testing system point. It described COM specification and ActiveX component's importance, focused on the application of the implementation process of ActiveX control in this system, and combined with the component technology and virtual instrument idea to use LabVIEW to implement a number of test optimization in the test module. Finally a intelligent communication radio ATS has been constructed. It is scalable, reusable and use the least human intervention with minimal computer-controlled automatic test equipment to finish radio testing, data recording, data processing, and to output test results in an appropriate manner of standardization.This system can achieve the daily maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of the equipment with the multi-directional functions testing to wireless radio in communication network. At the same time as the project continues to be expanded and more features' deleted or added later, the measured indicators also can be easily modified or added.
