Quartz Pendulous Reed (QPR) is the sensitive and core component offlexible quartz accelerometer. Due to its complex shape, higher physicaldimension precision and surface quality, its processed quality directly influencesservice performance. The geometric parameter of QPR directly influences theworking performance of flexible quartz accelerometer, so it has importantmeaning for increasing the working performance of flexible quartz accelerometerto measure the geometric parameters of QPR accurately. At the present time,visual measuring technique extensive use in the field of geometric sensemeasurement. Domestic geometric parameter measurement of QPR mostly usecontact measurement. It is not only hard to assurance of accuracy, but alsoinducing the damage of QPR easily. Against this circs, the dissertation presentsthe research on non-contact measurement of QPR and visual measurement-basedmethod of geometric parameter measurement.Firstly, the dissertation gives an outline on parameter measurement of QPR,then presents the development state and application of computer visualmeasuring technique on geometric measurement preparing for designing thesystem. The dissertation designs hardware system of QPR geometric sizeparameters based on CMOS image collection system of visual measuring, appliesimage processing technique to analyze image geting from image gathing systemand calculationgeometric size parameter.The emphasis of project is to design the algorithm of QPR geometric sizeparameters, considering various conventional edge detection method, researchesspace moment subpixel locating technique, brings aword which applies subpixellocation-algorithm to get subpixel position of QPR'outer circle configuration inthe system, passes least squares fit to get accurate position parameter and radiussize and calibrates experimental findings to obtain proportion factor of pixel andactual size, analyzes experimental results measured.
