With China joining in the WTO, competition in steel industry is becoming more and more severe, therefore, automation and standardization of product marking in accordance with international standards has vital significance for entering the international market. But at present China has not mastered automatic jet printing technology and we have to rely on expensive imported equipment, so it is urgent to develop jet printing equipment independently, in addition, dope jet printing has great research value as the main method of metallurgy jet printing equipment.Firstly, according to the characteristics which are suitable for the jet printing equipment of metallurgical industry, the author proposes a kind of design proposals, carries on the optimization by analysis and contrast, and completes the structural design with PROE software. On this basis, author analysis kinematics model.Secondly, the author tries to design a new vector character storeroom suitable for jet printing system on the base of TTF. Meanwhile, the author uses the Bezier Curve to enhance the printing effect and makes controlling point extraction program for discretionary graphics by VB, thereby achieves the vector character storeroom of usual patterns and the patterns designed freely.Thirdly, the author designs the communications interface on the base of PROFIBUS slave station CMOS chip SPC3. The results of simulation and analysis show that the design is correct and reasonable.Finally, the author does some research in controlling compensation theory to resolve the distortion of jet printing effect, and proves the theory is correct and feasible through experiment.The author finishes designing initially the mechanical structure, hardware of controlling system and communications system of equipments in this article, more over, lays foundation for the development of automatic jet printing equipment.
