Rapid Prototyping (RP) application in medical is a synthesize subject consisted of rapid prototyping technology, CT scan, the skill of dealing with the CT image, CAD technology. The development of CT image processing and rebuilding technology of three dimension tissue model make it easy to get the accurate human tissue model with complex contour, at one time, RP technology can manufacture complex prototype with high precision based on three dimension CAD model. The persisting development of several technologys is the foundation of RP application in medical. It can change the traditional diagnosis, operation programming, artificial manufacture method, so it has big potential and the populace can benefit from it.At present, the research of RP application in medical is very common at home and aboard and gets mature in several embranchments. But most of the research is focused on the three dimension rebuilding and model manufacture of bone tissue, it is limited model reference and operation programming. In addition, the research on heart, vessel, angioma, trachea and such soft tissue is compared rare. Repetition of soft tissue can supply individual model and is helpful in diagnosis and treat, surgery and medical education.The article has done pilot study on several embranchment of RP application in medical. Based on screw CT data, medical image processing software Mimics and STL data processing software Magics, research on CT image processing and three dimension rebuilding, we summarize the common way of human tissue separation and three dimension rebuilding through the research focused on medical image processing that is orientated to RP technology. Next, we make the research on heart and vessel data processing and three dimension model manufacture by RP. Combined the application CT scan technology and RP, we get the RP model of heart and vessel and seek after the feasibility of soft tissue replication. After that, we design tooth rectification oriented structure, analyse the problems, and finish the basic work of clinic trial.Based on work above, we manufacture the model of vessel by SLA and SLS technology, offering reference for the repetition of other tissue. The manufacture of tooth rectification oriented structure explores the way of the unite development of Stomatology and RP technology. Along with the technology of medical image processing, RP application in medical would get whole hog expanded.As the element work of medical image processing oriented to RP manufacture, the article comes down to some knowledge about medical and the content is segmented to several parts, different requirements have different ways of data processing. But it haven't lucubrated in precision evaluation of CT data processing and RP manufacture and rebuilding the model of tissue in other means, it just brings forward some key points and I hope it could offer some reference for following research.
