This article focuses on how to build a robot educational software platform based on Internet. On this platform, Users could obtain the necessary knowledge and the guidance on the robot technology through the software or the Internet Laboratory, and make virtual robot with the platform. Multiple users can also compete with each other in the virtual reality environment. Because any equipment in the open laboratory has a unique IP, users could apply to access one or more robot and remotely control them through Internet and test user's algorithms and ideas.In this article, a new project of network application based on Java is presented, which develop the network application of control system. And the application of Struts in Web development is mainly discussed. Users can use the robot simulation software and configuration development software, learn further robot knowledge, and design their own real robot with the help of our education robot, which is based on open structure.The project faces to the next generation Internet protocol IPv6 and the CNGI system .We absorb domestic and foreign research results to develop the virtual reality technology based network. We use Java and Eclipse as a development tool to develop the virtual reality simulation platform of robot including the virtual laboratory robot simulation, the virtual lab of robot design, the virtual lab of robot challenge and the robot remote control System, and we use this tool to develop robot education software platform facing CNGI.
