Modern monitor system is in great demand in research and industry area. Currently, most of monitor system are static or dynamic track based on video. The research of sound source location by microphone array has experienced a long time development. Combination of sound source location and dynamic monitor of camera provides a new, and much more efficient way for safety monitor.This article demonstrates the principle of sound source locating with a six-microphoned array. And provides arithmetic of time delay estimation by Generalized Cross Correlation and arithmetic of sound source location.The research is based on TMS320DM642 DSP kernel. In this article author builds a platform for sound source location and camera auto-control. Main contents mentioned in this article include: Principle and application of McASP; A/D Convert of sound wave; Connection of DSP and ADC. Design of EMIF and memory map; Design of CPLD as manager of address bus and data bus; Design of UART. FLASH page addressing and FLASH burn; Design of camera control by RS485 serial communication protocol.It is validated that this system can achieve the goal of sound source location and controlling camera under a low-noise environment.
