In the filed of human-robot interaction, Video conference and Military defense, thesound source lacalization system based on microphone array has already been gettingincreasing attention. At the same time,Along with the progress of science andtechnology,mobile phone,laptop computers and other electronic equipment gradually tendto the miniaturization development, its internal microphone array acquisition system arealso in subsequently miniaturization. So it has become very hot that how to use lessmicrophone arrays to identify precisely the sound source location. Herein, this paperfocuses on double microphone array based on sound source localization, and thecontributions are as follows.Firstly, Summarized the different kinds of time delay estimation (TDE) techniques,and proposed two stage variable parameter filter time-delay estimation approach. a twostage variable weighting coefficient filter is used to correct the time-delay point estimatedby GCC-PHAT-ργin algorithm, while effectively making bigger deviation time-delaypoint return to the correct time delay group, thus avoiding impairing further angleestimation caused by wrong time-delay.Specifically, the TDE methods are studied on antireverberation and noise resistance in different acousic environment. Based on simulationsesults, this paper presents the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms and theirapplications.Secondly, Simply introduces sound source loaclization methods in near-field andfar-field models. Make a deep study of a dual-microphone based source localizationmethod in two-dimensional space. By combining the information of time delay and energyof microphone array receives signals, the method reduces the number of microphones forlocalizaiton to two, Compared with 3 microphones required in the conventional two-steplocalization methods, it cuts off the device cost.Besides, the closed form solution obtainedimprove the algorithm’s procession.Thirdly, Based on MFC interface as the development platform, two real-time acousticsource localization system seperately used to far-field and near-field are designed and implementated.the system mainly use sound sourece location method based on timedifference of arrival, the part of time delay estimation adopts the method of thedissertation proposed, the far-field DOA use geometrical location method, and thenear-field coordinate position is calculated by the information of time delay and energy ofmicrophone array receives signals.Finally, do a great amount of experiment test in real environment, As the results show,the proposed approach shows a very good perfomance in error average and RMSE withoutthe decrease of sample qualities. It takes less than 0.4s to locate the positon of angle foreach data. Theory analysis and simulation results are provided to show that the proposedalgorithm can track timely when the speaker is moving at normal speed.
