This work is supported by national Nature Science Foundation. In this dissertation, the ferroelectric domain inverted dynamics and technology are deeply researched by theoretical and experimental ways. Designed and fabricated a 5000v high voltage power supply for PPKTP, which can output square waveform, and a new high voltage power supply for the use of measuring the coercive electric field of the crystals. Some prodigiouss achievements have been obtained in fabrication and second harmonic generation of periodically poling KTP crystals. While, some primary achievements have been gained in the PPRTP crystals.Following emphasis contribution are included in this dissertation:(1) Based on Maxwell's equations, the couple mode equations between three light waves are educed, the rationale of quasi-phase-matched technology is given, and the formula of the efficiency of SHG is gained.(2) The whole periodically poling process is amply described, and the ferroelectric periodically poling is researched by experimental ways. The change of the ferroelastic crystal with an electric field is researched, the speed of domain expanding, are analyzed.Many SHG experiments were performed on the PPKTP which is fabricated by ourselves. The calculated single-passed normalized conversion efficiency was 1.69%/W·cm. As we known, there is no other similar achievement reported in China.(3) Two new voltage powers are developed. The one supply for measuring the coercive electric field of the crystals can output triangular waveform. Its voltage is more than 5000V and its electric current is approximately 50 mA, all of which can meet the demand of this experiment. The other can output square waveform whose rise time is short than 50μs. The results of PPKTP experiments by use of this power supply were satisfied.(4) A new poling method is utilized, which probe into getting PPKTP efficiently and quickly.(5) The isostructural analogue of KTP, RTP, is also researched, and some PPRTP are fabricated for SHG.
