The vision inspection technology which has been developed basing on the computer vision theory, has the merit of high accuracy, non-contact, and high automaticity.So it satisfies the request of modern production process to the online detection, and it can be widely applied in the industrial production. Along with the development of modern industry production technology and the microelectronic technology, there appears vision sensor which is different from the traditional PC based vision system. The vision sensor which has the characteristic of simplified, modularization and product ,is wildly applied in many fields of industrial detection. In view of this situation, this article analyzes and compares the vision sensor with the PC based vision system. With the function and characteristic of the vision sensor,this article proposes design plan of the vision sensor.The main achievements of this article include:1. Considering the characteristic and the request of the visual inspection system, compared the vision sensor with the PC based visual system,and analyzed the characteristic and superiority of the vision sensor. According to the functional composition of the embedded visual system, the article analyzed and compared the whole realization plan as well as the various functional modules. Finally, determined the system realization plan at the experimental stage.2. In the research of the system testing plan, according to the image sensor's characteristic, analyzed and compared the difference between CCD and the CMOS, finally determined the plan of the CMOS image sensor; as choosing the image processor and into the image algorithm characteristic and the lamination processing principle, this article proposed the ideal processing plan, and designed processing plan based on the DSP according to the actual situation.3. Analyzed deeply gathering module design scheme and realization principle based on DSP and CPLD. Including the hardware design of gathering module, the control method of OV7640 image sensor, as well as acquisition timing control of the system, this article experimental confirmed the acquisition, compared OV7640's different acquisition effect of different set value.4. The article studied the principle of LCD and touching screen, and designed the demonstration module and the touching screen control module of embedded visual system, including LCD power design, LCD control circuit design and control circuit design of touching screen.5. The article studied the implementation plan of system communication module, proposed of RS232 and the Ethernet. According to simple image transmission agreement of RS232, The article designed communication software and Ethernet implementation plan which is simple and compact.6. The article studied software optimizational method of the DSP system, and processed algorithm according to typical image: The binaryzation and the 3×3 template convolution. The article compared and analyzed the system performance, and proposed software design method based on the DMA. FLASH bootloder and secondary bootload plan has also been studied and realized in the article.
