The injector base, fabricated by metal casting and stamping, is an important part in automobile oil circuits. Such parts are mainly used for welding assembly with cylinder parts. In order to ensure the accuracy of assembly, the inside diameter of the parts are required to be measured accurately.Because the injector base displays as an abnormity figure and the inner surface is a strong reflecting surface. We design an automatic computer vision precise measurement system based on computer vision. This system makes use of the projection of the inner surface edge and measures the inside diameter of injector base consecutive on product line. As a result, the accuracy and speed of the part measurement are greatly improved.The main contributions of the thesis include:1. Taking PC as the host and PLC as the client, the article designs a mechanical control system to control the movement of actuator.2. We design an ingenious device with the function of self-feeding, automatic location and separate, which realizes the automatic inspection and improves the efficiency.3. The detection of strong reflecting surface is always an interesting topic in the field of computer vision based measurement technique. Through the analysis on the different lamps and manners of illumination, we design a LED back lighting source with uniform scattering and confirm an illuminating way of reverse. This reduces the difficulty of image processing and raises the speed and preciseness of defect inspection.4. Optics camera lens, CCD, image collection clip and lamp are central measurement apparatus. This thesis introduces them separately.5. Research the inside diameter of injector base and analyze the course of image processing.
