The Research And Implementation Of Digital TV Receiver System And Service Data Function

With the development of technology, the industry of broadcasting TV enters into an era of rapid development in which Digital TV displays many advantages. The analog TV and Digital Processing TV both can't receive Digital TV signal, so Set-Top-Box will play an important role in the field of digital television. With the development of Digital TV technology, the service information and the Internet browsing are more useful functions in the future STB, so bringing about steady improvement in new functions are the directions of STB development in the future market.This project's task is to develope functions of Cable STB on STM5105 platform which is the Digital TV STB solution provided by STMicroelectronics Inc. (ST). OS20 real time operation system is used in the software system. The RTOS is multithreading and multitask, which enhances the ability of real time processing and provides the platform for abundant user functions. The core of STM5105 are STx5105 and STV0297: STx5105 with a ST20 32-bit CPU core in it has many functions, such as audio and video decoding, picture zoom and so on; STV0297 is in charge of QAM demodulating, channel decoding and so on.This paper discusses the principle of Cable STB, the structure and features of STM5105 platform, and introduces PSI defined in MPEG-2 international standard, SI defined in DVB-SI international standard. Then it details the implementation process of EPG function and the development process of Smartcard interface in CAS on STM5105 platform. Finally this paper introduces st20 toolset, system developing environment, several means of STB software system debug and the summary of whole paper.
