In the conventional Engineering Graphics teaching process, teachers generally use the 2D mode when the comprehensive problems about point, line and face are concerned. Namely, no matter whether blackboards or multimedia coursewares is involved, planar manner is almost employed. Although some of coursewares have done 3D process about the solutions, they are just some fixed and static demonstration processes which have been done before teaching and can't demonstrate the real-time solution processes. So some students can't entirely understand them because of being short of dimensional imaginations. As a result, the teaching effect is not very good. For this reason, based on summarizing theories and researches of others, this dissertation starts the research of 3D analysis system in Engineering Graphics comprehensive problems.This dissertation developes a dynamic Engineering Graphics teaching software, i.e. CAI, which aims to transfer the comprehensive problems about point, line and face to the forms which are solved with dynamic and real-time process by 3D reconstruction way based on AutoCAD platform. The system applies Visual LISP to redevelop programs on AutoCAD 2007 platform. It is embedded into AutoCAD 2007 and needn't design other system interface. So that it avoids the problem of interface transform when used. And it has the merit of being used conveniently in the teaching demonstration by teachers and being learned and used easily by students.After analyzing the comprehensive 2D Engineering Graphic problems and solutions about point, line and face, the dissertation can solve them in the 3D circumstance by 3D reconstruction . The 3D analysis system inherits the conventional means of solving the comprehensive problems, namely, the illustrating means and the surface exchanging means. The system can do the 3D demonstrations of the two means and the solutions are intuitionistic and understandable.The 3D analysis system is mostly used in the Engineering Graphics teaching which help students to do the comprehensive Engineering Graphics problems analysis. Its teaching purpose is to enhance the dimension thinking and imagination abilities of students. In addition, this system can also be used to solve some common practical problems about measurement and orientation in engineering practice.
