Giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA) is a new actuator made by using giant magnetostrictive material as centrol element. Compared with piezoelectric actuator, GMA owns the advantage of large magnetostrictive strain, high energy density and fast response characteristics. It has a promising prospect in precision positioning and fluid control fields. GMA, which is used to replace conventional driving components, can improve the response speed control and control accuracy of electronic control valve. Based on the giant magnetostrictive actuator, the electric control valve is deeply analyzed and studied by means of mechanical equation and computer simulation methods.Firstly, the mechanism of magnetostriction was elaborated from the point of view of practical applications. The linear piezomagnetic equation was discussed and the double frequency and pressure characteristics of giant magnetostrictive material were analyzed. The actuator structure and working principle of GMA were introduced and its static experiment was carried out.Then, through the establishment of the mathematical model of uniaxial flexible hinge corner rigidity, the enlargement factor, rigidity, loss of displacement and frequency of micro-displacement amplification mechanism were analyzed, based on the lever principle and the geometric deformation relations. The amplification mechanism was analyzed and the enlargement factor, rigidity, resonant frequency, vibration mode and the relationship between load and loss of displacement were calculated by using the finite element method.Finally, output characteristics of static displacement and power of Giant Magnetostrictive Actuator were derived and the structure and working principle of electronic control valve were introduced, the dynamic mathematical model of valve core was established and conducted the simulation research using MATLAB to its dynamic characteristic,the three structure parameters including the valve core equivalent mass, the equivalent damping factor and the rigidity of elastic recovery board were analyzed,which affect dynamic characteristics of valve core system, These provided the theory basis for development of the electronic control valve. pressure-current capacity equation of slide valve type valve core was derived, drawn up the electronic control valve control plan and using PID to improve the dynamic characteristics of the system.
