With the development of science and technology, the demand of ultraprecision machining and orientation technology gradually increases, which then increases the demand of micro-displacement actuator and orientation technology. Traditional micro-displacement actuator always uses heat-expanded materials and piezoelectric ceramic. And these materials universally have many disadvantages, such as small expanding-contracting value, long reaction time, complex driving structure, easily aging and so on, which seriously influence output range and controlled precision. Giant magnetostrictive material (Tb0.27Dy0.73Fe1.93) is a new kind of intelligent material. It has the following virtues: good magnetic retractility, rapid response, and high energy density, so it is widely applied in nanometer actuator, sensor and many other domains. Based on the characteristics of the giant magnetostrictive material, this article designs giant magnetostrictive micro-displacement actuator, and primary research contents are as follows: establishing drive magnetic field structure, designing closed loop control system, constant current source, temperature control system, magnetic field perceptual system and doing experiment testing.On structure design aspect, this article adopts magnetism material to form a closed magnetic route around the giant magnetostrictive material, which can improve magnetic symmetry and reduce leakage of magnetic field. For the driving form, this system designs high-stability bipolar constant current source which can continuously be adjusted by voltage. This constant current source can offer drive magnetic field for the actuator. And then According to Maxwell equation group and electromagnetic field theory, this system apply finite element analysis software ANSYS for simulation on drive magnetic field structure design aspect, which validates the uniformity of magnetic field and confirms the structure of drive magnetic field.Meanwhile, this article brings forward a control method on account of magnetic field and designs a high-precision control circuit based on DSP.
