UHV(Ultra High Voltage) electric power transmission is a necessary technique of electric power transmission network in the future, and building fiber unrepeatered transmission systems matching UHV electric power transmission can guarantee secure, stable and economic operation of power network. Because of its good performances, fiber Raman amplifier is one of the key techniques to build long-span unrepeatered communication system.An existing optimal design algorithm is analyzed and improved to accord with long-span fiber amplifier design. Using the above algorithm, long-span single channel fiber Raman amplifier is designed successfully, with the relation of performance parameters and configure parameters being analyzed. As the increasing demand of communication capability in electric power systems, Genetic Algorithm using equally spaced pumps is adopted to realize primary configuration on flat-gain fiber Raman amplifiers in WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) system, preparing evidence for the future upgrade.
