Network Mobility is a new technology proposed by IETF based on mobile IPv6. It means a network moving as a whole and keeping architecture changeless. This technology enable mobile users to move and roam in different networks at will, and keep the continuity of traffic. The mobile users will adapt better to next generation mobile network by using NEMO technology. In this paper, we will introduce the Mobile IPv6 and NEMO firstly, and point out the shortcomings of NEMO basic support. Then we will give 3 typical route optimization methods aim at these shortcomings: ROTIO, MIRON and MR-Proxy based solution. And compare them from delay, throughput and signaling spending. Next we propose a new scheme called RO-RBU based on MIRON, which improve the capability when VMN move across NEMOs while retain its advantages. Finally, for the network model that one NEMO contains several LFNs, we introduce HMIPv6 to solve the problems when the NEMO move across different access networks. In this paper, we further perfect the NEMO and routing optimization technology to adapt to the all-IP network in the future. In the next generation wireless communication system, it will have a better application.
