In this paper, the professional 3D modeling software solidworks2006 was used for 3D modeling about selected communications equipment. In the process of the communications equipment modeling, a reasonable simplification was adopted. In this paper, the finite element method (FEM) was used to the dynamic analysis of communications equipment. The finite element model analysis and the design optimization software were developed. In the programming, the node and the cell were numbered automatically and the mesh were plotted according to certain rules of the division. The length, width and thickness of the cabinet were selected as the optimal design variables, and the combination method of modified Powell and Golden Section was adopted to carry out the optimization. In the end of the paper, the conclusion was given out.
