Study On The Software Test Outsourcing Management

Since China joined the WTO, occident customers would not like that there is only one choice from India for their software outsourcing business. So there will be a lot of opportunities for China local company to develop software outsourcing business. But for our local company the software testing is a new domain, they are lack of management experience for software testing project. Because of a shortage of global awareness, although the local company has the low human cost, they still do not get more advances. Face on the widely software outsourcing market, the most of market share is owned by India, Canada and Ireland. In the 5 years of future, China government plan to improve the ability of local company software outsourcing to compare with India. Obviously, our local company is at the experience of the disadvantaged to compare with India vendor for international market. For local company there is not obviously a weakness in software testing technology, mainly they are short of software testing outsourcing project management experience. Because the India company's language strength, they would take more international software testing outsourcing project.Base on the situation mention above and actual project experience of the author, the problems which should be considered on software testing outsourcing project are analyzed in this paper on view of a project leader. The problems of communication, technology, schedule, internal and risk for management of test outsourcing are studied especially. At the last, some suggestions for Chinese enterprise to develop software test outsourcing business are proposed.
